2025 CATA & Ricardo Flores Scholarships
Congratulations on being a graduating senior!
Two scholarships are available from The Capital Area Tennis Association
Deadline for applications: Monday, March 31, 2025
1) The CATA Scholarship, which is open to any tennis player in the Austin area; and 2) The Ricardo Flores Memorial Scholarship, which is a needs-based scholarship available to a tennis player from the Hispanic Community. If you are interested in both scholarships, you will need to complete both applications individually. The Ricardo Flores Memorial Scholarship application is listed after the CATA Scholarship application.
CATA Scholarship
For Graduating Seniors
Each year, the Capital Area Tennis Association distributes college scholarships to local graduating high school seniors. The Scholarship Committee evaluates each applicant on the basis of tennis involvement in conjunction with the student’s scholastic achievements and involvement in community services. The committee then submits its recommendations to the Board of Directors for approval. Scholarships are presented at the CATA Annual Junior Awards ceremony in May.

Ricardo Flores Memorial Hispanic Scholarship
For Hispanic Graduating Seniors
The Ricardo Flores Memorial Hispanic Scholarship is awarded annually to Hispanic graduating seniors from the Capital Area Tennis Association community. This need-based scholarship recognizes students with an active involvement in tennis, whether through school or the local tennis community.
