The Capital Area Tennis Association (CATA) announces the retirement of Fernando Velasco as Executive Director after an outstanding eight-year tenure. Fernando’s passion for tennis and his unwavering dedication to the Central Texas tennis community have been a hallmark of his leadership. Under his guidance, CATA has grown, supporting countless players, programs, and initiatives that have enriched the sport for thousands of people of all ages and abilities.

He has expressed his commitment to ensuring a smooth transition over the next 4–6 months as CATA begins the search for a new Executive Director. His willingness to offer support and guidance during this process underscores his dedication to the organization and its mission.
